Help me solve the following dilemma: You’re the manager of a sales group at your company and the director of sales just sat you down and told you of the new sales goal – which is ambitious. You know she’s trying to motivate you and your team to achieve the next level. However, you talk to your co-worker, another sales team leader, who is devising a strategy to “game” the system for his team in order to look more favorable to the director of sales. You will soon be forced to make the same choice and if you do not, you could risk being cast in an unfavorable light or potentially losing your job.
What do you do? Bring in experience from your own work if you can.
